The whole region around Ubud, has always been an
important spiritual center.
Ubud is surrounded by several of big Temples……
Big temple means all of Balinese able to worship to this
temple, no matter what they Clan and Caste.
On Full moon day, where this day is one of the Balinese
Hindu Holiday, Mini Management team of Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud
doing a spiritual journey or “Tirta Yatra”.
This spiritual journey could be done by all level of
Balinese Hindu Community to some big Temples that
Available in Bali, out of the island and some time out of
the country such as India.
This spiritual journey done also to get a holy water from
the temple that we visited.
We believe that the Holy water from the Temple will purify
our body and soul, also we will
Get a positive energy vibration from the Holy place, and at
the end……..
We will be able to recognized and appreciate life that has
been given by our creator.
Spiritual Journey this time we visited 4 big Temples and
they are all in Gianyar Regency
And quite closed to Best Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud.
Goa Gajah (ElephantCave Temple) Is our first place to stop……..
This temple has been popular and visited by Tourist both
domestic and overseas.
Located about 5.4 KMs or only 17 minutes’ drive from Best
Western Premier Agung Resort Ubud.
Goa Gajah is one of the “World Heritage” and this temple is
very rich with the Stone carving, especially
Giant stone carving.
There are several Stone carving and stone statue that
symbolized God of Balinese Hindu available
Such as: Brahma, Wisnu, Siwa and Ganesha.
This temple is one of the Must Visit Temple for Balinese
Hindu who want to do a “Tirta Yatra”
And then we continue our trip ahead further to Samuan Tiga Temple……
Situated at about 6.5 KMs from Best Western Agung ResortUbud or about 20 minutes’ drive.
This temple is very important temple for Balinese Hindu
since this temple was a place to united Balinese Hindu Bali where it was
consisting of some Sects
This temple is “Non Touristic area” since there is no
many tourist visiting this beautiful temple.
This large temple surrounded by lush garden and frangipani
flower in each corner of the temple’s
Building.
The third temple that we visited is Gunung Kawi…….
Situated about 17 KMs from Best Western Premier Agung ResortUbud and about 35 minutes’ drive.
To reach this temple we have to go down a long stairway
which is more than hundred steps.
It is really quite challenging for those who not strong
enough.
But when you get to the temple, all your exhausted and tired
will fade away and disappear.
This temple has very beautiful natural landscape, incredible
giant stone carving, spacious garden
With natural water sources, rice field, river with clean and
clear water, and lush green forest.
And there was an Odalan (Temple anniversary/Temple Festival)
at the same time at the other temple where this temple location is next to the
Gunung Kawi Temple.
Surprisingly that young and old women and men, even children
are very happy to climb all stairs up and down to and from the temple.
There is NO tired face appears from them.
Tirta Empul Tampak Siring
is our last temple that we visited on our Spiritual Journey this time………
Situated at about 15 KMs from Best Western Premier AgungResort Ubud and about 30 minutes’ drive.
This temple is very unique because of Holy Water Sources
that available in this temple.
This temple will always busy visited by Balinese Hindu who
want to do a purification (MELUKAT)
Now there is not only Balinese Hindu that visited Tampak
Siring for praying and purification purpose
But a lot of foreigners do the same thing.
Tampak Siring has its own attractive power to attract
peoples to come and visit this temple.
Because of the great atmosphere the first President of
Indonesia “Soekarno” build his palace
in this place.
